Role of Sulfate Ions in the Potential to Replace Refined Feeds with Agricultural Residues in Mariculture
Overall objectives are to evaluate the role of the sulfate-sulfide transition, and specifically the role of sulfide as a toxin that limits the availability of natural foods in brackish salt water, earthen fish ponds. Utilizing this information, pond management strategies will be evaluated with the intent of improving fish production with reduced reliance on refined feeds.
