This book presents current rock fracturing and hydraulic fracturing theory including how hydraulic fracturing affects rock, and how fractures can develop and can be manipulated. Recommendations for use of hydrofracturing and judging candidate wells are presented, as well as useful geologic and borehole tools for evaluating wells before or after a job.
