The Village Technology Handbook is aimed at helping villagers to master the resources available to them: to improve their own lives and to bring their villages more fully into the lives of the nations of which they form a basic and important part. Technical information is a basic factor in the process, along with other basic factors: political, social and economic. The Village Technology Handbook is aimed at "bridging the technical information gap" which keeps the world's villages from learning one another's experience.
