On September 26, a third USAID/OFDA-chartered aircraft arrived in Port au Prince with 5,088 hygiene kits, 4,350 ten-liter water containers, and three 10,000-liter water bladders from the USAID/OFDA warehouse in Miami, Florida. Worth more than $96,000, including transport, the additional contribution will benefit an estimated 30,000 people. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is delivering the commodities to affected populations. ' On September 24, staff from the USAID Disaster Assistance Response Team (USAID/DART) and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) traveled to Ennery and Saint Michel de L'Attalaye, Artibonite Department, to assess humanitarian conditions. On September 25, the USAID/DART conducted additional assessments in Anse Rouge and Terre Neuve, Artibonite Department. Results of the assessments will be available in the coming days.
