This quarter, July to September 2011, represented the transition from the 1st OFDA grant (1st June 2010 to 31st July 2011) to the approval of the cost extension proposal (1st August 2011 to 31st July 2012). MCS obtained a modification of the award to extend the initial completion date, revise the total estimated amounts, expand the program description (incorporating two sectors, Agriculture and Food Security and Economic Recovery and Market Systems), and to revise the language and add several provisions. As the modification of the award was not signed until September 16th, the initiations of planned activities for the new sectors of Agriculture and Food Security, and Economic Recovery and Market Systems have been delayed.
